New Launch from Breitling

Most watch companies buy parts and even entire movements (the engine which runs a timepiece) from other companies. It's just like when Boeing uses an engine for their jets from companies like Rolls Royce. When a watch company makes all of their own movements and parts they are known as a "manufacture", and there aren't very many of these. Rolex is one, so is Jaeger LeCoultre.

Now Breitling has acheived this status with their new B01 (B Zero One) movement and we get to premier it at our Seattle store on June 10th. It's exciting not only because of the technology involved in creating an "in-house" movement but also because Breitling is one of the few independent watch companies with a real sense of individuality. That's why they are so popular among people with a sense of adventure and personal style. The creation of the B01 movement means Breitling will continue their independence as they remain the supplier of instruments for professionals.
